History
What is History? The study of events from the past.
Understanding history should inspire pupils' curiosity to know more about what happened in the past and why. Knowing about events form the past should equip pupils to ask perceptive questions, think critically, weigh evidence, and consider different viewpoints. History helps pupils to understand the complexity of people's lives and the diversity of societies and relationships between people.
What are you curious to know? Why do we have a Prime Minister as well as a Queen?
History matters because decisions made in the past help us to understand why things are as they are today.
