Music

What is Music? Music is a form of art; an expression of emotions through harmonic sound.

The word music comes from the Greek word (mousike), which means "(art) of the Muses". Music is a universal language and is one of the highest forms of creativity. A high quality music education should inspire pupils to develop a love of music and so increase their self confidence, creativity and sense of achievement.

What are you curious to know? Why does some music make me feel calm and relaxed and other music make me feel slightly scared? Why are there so few well known women composers?

Music matters because it can help to lift our mood, bring us together and help us to relive special moments in our lives.
